Hi to all Kololo friends, and guests.
We at Kololo would like to introduce you to our very new Kololo Research & Volunteer program that will be starting again March 2019. Embark on an African adventure while contributing to conservation and the protection of all fauna and flora. Future sustainability! Learn about the wildlife in all its biodiversity, while experiencing Kololo.
• preserve and to protect all indigenous Fauna and Flora on Kololo Game Reserve;
• conserve and re-establish open plains and better feeding grounds;
• minimize parasite infestations; and to
• remove unwanted invasive plant species.
In a whole, the aim is to help our Rangers and Field Guides in creating a balance within conservation on the 1500ha of Kololo, while educating yourself about conservation and wildlife.
- Our Trainer
Hello world. My name is Jacques Coetzee also known as JC. I’m an arid passionate bush lover and have been in the industry for over 15 years. After I matriculated from school I saved up some money and travelled overseas to Israel for 2 years and after that travelled to England for another 2 and half years. I worked on a kibbutz and on a Moshav for all the time I spent in Israel, mostly in the agricultural sector. In The UK I worked in the catering and events management sector.
Only in early 2005 when I returned from England my Grandfather passed away and that’s when I realized I will now follow in his footsteps and take guiding and conservation on board as a permanent work structure in my life. I pursued my passion and all my qualifications from then.
I am proud to say that I have obtained a few qualifications within the years and it doesn’t stop there as I’m pursuing my FGASA level 3 and my Game Farm Management qualification through FGASA.
Teaching and training people about our natural environment are what I do best.
